Overview
Tires are the most important part of your car, period. If you don’t have tires, you can’t roll down the road or move over obstacles. Your tires determine how quickly you go, stop, turn, slow down, speed up, burnout, skid, drift, and slide. Many consumers shop for tires by model, size and price. Some savvy shoppers also go by the brand they prefer, and then choose the most appropriate model within that brand for their vehicle. Through research, we found many quality tires, among them we retrieve 6 of the highly quality used. They are;
- Michelin
- Continental
- Cooper
- Goodyear
- Bridgestone
- Pirelli
-
Michelin

Description
One of the most popular tire brands in the U.S. and throughout the world, Michelin sells quality tires in virtually every category. From run-flat tires to summer tires to all-season tires, Michelin tops recommendation lists from consumers and industry experts alike.
In the automotive world, they supplied the tires for the first world speed record of 100 kilometers per hour in an electric car! This was in 1889, when 60 miles per hour must have been insane, even crazier is that this feat was completed in a car powered by electricity. Imagine where we would be if petroleum lobbies didn’t get involved, but I digress. Michelin definitely has made their name in performance tires, but they are also the first you think about when you just want “the best” and you don’t care how much you spend.
2. Continental

Description
Founded in 1871, Continental AG is more than 150 years old. They developed rubber tires for airplanes and started moving to surface tires for automobiles in the 1890s. Their main claim to fame is that they were the first tire company to produce grooved tires for passenger vehicle use. This is important because grooves help tires deal with adverse weather conditions like rain, snow, mud, and gravel and help extend the life of the tire.
Today, we see all kinds of grooves in tires from Paddle tires meant to move quickly through sand to snow tires built with many “sipes” and a special winter tire compound to the F1 rain tires that the racing teams equip when the weather gets hairy.
3. Cooper

Description
Another one of the many successful tire brands to have come up in Akron, Ohio, Cooper Tires was an offshoot of the original “Master Tire and Rubber” company. Cooper tires are considerably cheaper than most tire brands, without compromising quality.
They were one of the most prolific producers of Camouflage goods, landing boat rubber, and floatation devices for the allied side of World War II and were even bestowed an honor “E” award by the United States government following the conclusion of the great war.
4. Goodyear

Description
Founded by Frank Seiberling in 1898, Goodyear Tires is a multinational tire manufacturer. It has made a name for itself among drivers looking for durability. Goodyear tires are made to last for all types of vehicles, including off-road trucks and motorsports vehicles. However, as Goodyear tires are some of the best tires in the business, they come at a higher price. The company puts its tires through rigorous in-house and independent testing before releasing any models to consumers.
5. Bridgestone

Description
Bridgestone is a Japanese Multinational car and truck parts manufacturer, founded in 1931. Bridgestone manufactures two brands of tires: Bridgestone and Firestone. The companies merged in 1988 and now offer a variety of passenger car, truck, and SUV tires. Bridgestone has been an innovative player in the industry and has made strides toward more environmentally friendly products. Bridgestone also offers cutting-edge run-flat tires for drivers looking for added peace of mind on the road.
6. Pirelli

Description
What’s that? The sound of a thousand thoroughbred Italian steeds rushing over the hillside? No, that’s the sound of Pirelli tires clawing at the pavement as they propel your Fiat Ducato Turbo Van back to your estate.
Pirelli, an Italian manufacturer, is best known for supplying high-performance tires to luxury and exotic car manufacturers like Maserati, Lamborghini, Audi, BMW, and Porsche. With high-speed cars, performance tires are a must. Pirelli tires have specific tread patterns and construction that make for excellent grip on the road in both dry and wet conditions. While it may have a sporty reputation, Pirelli also makes tires for day-to-day passenger cars, trucks, and SUVs.
